April Women In Business Spotlight

This month’s Women in Business Spotlight goes out to Lori Hurd!  She owns Red Rooster Scrapbook Barn as well as Hurd Bookkeeping Inc.

Red Rooster Scrapbook Barn just opened at their new location on 555 South Main Street in Brigham City.  The new location offers a gathering place for Scrapbookers, Crafters, Card Makers, Quilters, Business Meetings and other special events.  They offer days for open crafting on Wednesday and Thursdays as well as monthly classes.  Red Rooster also hosts scrapbooking and crafting retreats.  The Red Rooster Scrapbook Barn is having their Grand Opening from May 1-4 9:00am to 7:00pm with prizes, and drawings!  Make sure and stop in to see whay they have to offer.  Go check out www.redroosterbarn.com to see more details!

Now a little about Lori!  Lori’s birthday is November 1.  When Lori has spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking and boating on Lake Powell.  She is great at water-skiing, and can even slalom ski (skiing on ONE ski)!  She is also great at being creative which shows in her business!  Her favorite restaurant is Happy Sushi in Logan, and when asked to describe herself in one word, she said Fun and Happy!  Her favorite quote is framed and hanging in her office “Always think positive and pursue your dreams”!  A little unkown fact about Lori is that she lived in California for 25 years!

March 2013 Women in Business Meeting

March 2013 Women in Business meeting will be held on March 28, 2013 at 12:00 pm in the Davis and Bott conference room.  Our meal will be catered by the fabulous Maple Springs!

March Women in Business Spotlight

It seems only fit to spotlight last years Women In Business Chair.  Kami Fister did such a great job and we sure do appreciate the work she put into leading and growing Women in Business. 

Kami is the HR Office Manager for Wal-Mart in Corinne.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her boys, reading a good book, going for a hike or walk, and cooking or baking up something yummy in the kitchen.  Cooking is something that Kami says she is really good at!  When she’s not cooking, she says her favorite place to eat out is Zucca’s.  When asked one word to describe her personality, she responded “Just one?”  After I prodded a little and gave her two words to describe herself and with a little help from her husband, she came up with “Dedicated and Driven”!  Her favorite bit of wisdom is “A silent mouth is melodious”.  Something you may not know about Kami is that she has a freckle in her right eye!
